Our mission is to cultivate safety, empowerment and healing in an alliance with adults, teens, and children who are affected by domestic and sexual violence.
Join us in mobilizing the community to promote social change, which will reduce power-based violence, control and oppression!
Through a 24-hour hotline, safe and transitional housing, legal advocacy and representation, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling for adults, children and adolescents, financial empowerment, community education, and prevention services, SAFE in Hunterdon delivers critical support services to the many families who have experienced violence in their lives. All of our services are confidential and all crisis services are free of charge.
SAFE in Hunterdon seeks to empower all individuals to live safe, enriched lives free from abuse, respecting ethnicity, race, language, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, class, and immigration status. In an atmosphere of inclusion and sensitivity, SAFE in Hunterdon enforces a zero tolerance policy for any discriminatory behavior on the part of anyone affiliated with the agency, including, but not limited to, staff, volunteers, and/or board members. As a reflection of its cultural competence, SAFE in Hunterdon will continue to actively recruit staff of various backgrounds and maintain diversity training as a component of employee in-services and its mandatory Domestic and Sexual Abuse curriculum.
