Counseling

Individual and group counseling services are available for any one who has: experienced/witnessed domestic violence within their lifetime; experienced intimate partner violence within their lifetime; experienced/witnessed sexual violence within their lifetime; and experienced elder abuse by either a family member or agency.

Counseling goals are unique to each client and address their specific needs. Individual and group counseling provides clients with the opportunity to heal from their experiences and learn how to manage distressing emotions. Our counseling services provide the client with options when faced with difficult decisions, such as: “should I leave my abusive husband of 20 years?” Our counselors will provide the client with options and resources regarding this difficult choice, and if a client should decide to stay in the relationship our counselors will provide them emotional support and safety planning. Group counseling is offered throughout the year for clients who were impacted by domestic violence and or sexual violence.

All our counseling services are short term (up to one year). Counseling services are available in English and Spanish. Transportation and childcare may be available upon request.
